The rules:
Each week the DJ's from the group stages will have there shows rated as normal, the 2 djs against each other will compete for points. The 2 poll rates will decide who won that match. 3 points for a win and 1 point each in the event of a tie.
After all DJ's have gone head to head with each other in the group stages we then move onto the last 16 and so on in the same way till we get to the final.
DJ's do not need to have a weekly time slot as long as they play at some point in said week so they have a set that can be poll rated with the other DJ for members to vote. It also does not matter how long or short a show is, but this of course might effect how many members rate a show.
Tie breaker:
In the event of a draw the winner will be decided by the combined total of points each players has gained in the cup so far. In the event of a tie after the points have been calculated a penalty shoot-out poll will be created for 24hours. If after this both players are still equal they will play each other again.
Cup tips:
Spam your radio shows on facebook and other sites, get your friends and family locked in and voting, get your friends to spam your radio shows. If you play at a time when it's sometimes quiet in chat book an hour of the Saturday night guest slot. There are 3 hours of guest slot every week that can be booked at any time for any week. Pick out the tracks you think the members will enjoy the most.
The Paradise Cup is just a bit of fun, a twist to the normal everyday same old same old radio stations have done for years. It is not essential to win the cup and this event can be held as many times as the DJs want it to. There are lots of events, lots of ranks and lots of winners. Events in paradise are created to generate chat and banter, they should not be set as your lifes ambitions.
The winner:
The winner of this exclusive event will be crowned the Paradise cup champion and will have an exclusive rank image until the event is held again. The winner will also gain 500 leaderboard points. 2nd place will gain 200 leaderboard points and 3rd place will gain 50 leaderboard points. Third place will be the losing semi final dj with the most poll points. In the event of a tie the points will be shared.
